Half-day cross-country skiing taster course

Learn new cross-country skiing skills with our Ruka Ski School English-speaking instructor.

This easy taster course is great for first-timers, and absolutely no previous experience is needed. The half-day taster course includes a 1-hour 30-minute lesson – a great option for those who want to taste the new sport, learn the basics, and learn ski track etiquette. The course is held on Wednesdays.

SKILL LEVEL 1 (FIRST TIMER): CROSS-COUNTRY TASTER COURSE FOR OVER NINE YEARS OLD & ADULTS

Experience the most classical Finnish winter sport: cross-country skiing. During the lesson, you will become familiar with modern cross-country ski equipment. Cross-country skiing is first practiced by learning a turn-stroke and equal thrust. The terrain will be easy to keep nice and comfortable throughout the workout during the lesson. At the same time, you will enjoy the beautiful winter forest and mountain scenery.

Availability: 11.12.2024–5.3.2025 on Wednesdays.
Note: No course at Wed 25th of Dec > this week it is at Thu 26th of Dec. 

Duration: 1h 30min lesson

Skill level: 1 

Group size: 3–10 people (If there are only two bookings, the lesson will be 50 min long).

Schedule: 4.15 pm–5.45 pm

Price:

  • 42 € / from 9 yrs up (does not include equipment)
  • 58,50 €  from 12 yrs up / 52€ 9-11 yrs. Includes 3h rental equipment set that you can add to your booking when you complete your booking details.

Meeting place: Meet with ski instructor at 4.15 pm at Vuosseli / East Ruka, Ski school meeting sign is next to the VuosselinPortti rental store and restaurant terrace.
