Wappulounas is one of the biggest institutions in Finnish snowboarding and is celebrating its impressive 25th anniversary this year! The event for the 25th anniversary of Wappulounas at Ruka from May 1–3, 2025, will also mark the final serving by the current event producers, the so-called soup chefs.

Wappulounas's trademarks are unique and distinctive venues, as well as race formats you won't find anywhere else. When you add a laid-back feel to spring riding in the best company, accompanied by good music, the ingredients for the culmination of the snowboard season are piled up.

Wappulounas 2025

Wappulounas is coming again in the spring of 2025! Come and enjoy the season's best snowboarding at Wappulounas. Wappulounas has has already become a legend in Finnish snowboard culture.

Wappulounas saw the light of day in 2001, so the event has reached a respectable and experience-rich age of more than 20 years. Wappulounas has been organized in Ruka since 2006. Over the years, there have been numerous unforgettable moments, competition venues, performances, gigs and coincidences.

The event certainly does not lack speed, creativity and spectacularity. Together with Wappulounas soup cookers, Ruka's Playground creates special performance venues where the riders can give their best. The afterski program and numerous live gigs at Wappulouna's after party won't leave the participants cold either.
