Ruka-Kuusamo has plenty of diverse shops that are ready to serve you and also offer local products. Even though the best holiday experiences travel home with us as memories, it’s also nice to bring home something you can hold in the form of souvenirs.

Ruka village and Kuusamo centre have high-quality shops, where it’s easy to find local products to take home. Especially reindeer products, fishing equipment, ceramics and local food products are popular souvenirs.

Grocery shops of all sizes

When staying in an apartment or cottage, you can cook your meals yourself, and sometimes cooking together is part of the holiday experience. The wide selections provided by our grocery shops guarantee that you can favour sustainable products and local food, just like at home.

In Ruka village, the closest grocery shop is in Shopping Centre Kumpare. That means can you can stroll down to the shop in your dressing gown and slippers, if you so wish! More shopping opportunities are available at Rukan Portti, where you can find Sale Ruka.

Kuusamo centre has two large supermarkets and other brick-and-mortar shops as well as two pharmacies. In Ruka, Shopping Centre Kumpare and Sale Ruka have pharmacy service points where you can buy the most common prescription-free medicines and bandages.

The grocery shops in Ruka-Kuusamo do not yet offer any grocery deliveries to homes or cottages.
