Slowly but surely, a brand new village centre, Ruka Valley, has emerged on the eastern side of the Ruka fell.

Natural materials, such as timber and stone, have been favored in the construction of Ski-Inn Hotel Ruka Valley. Also, interior design features wood exceptionally prominently. Apartments are heated with bio-district heat.

Thanks to a dense village structure, the surrounding nature, including the nearby Valtavaara area, remains as untouched as possible. From Ruka Valley, you can get around in Ruka conveniently on the carbon-neutral (scope 1 and 2) Village-2-Valley scenic gondola and the SkiBus, which has been carbon-compensated.
