Ice climbing is a great, arctic experience for everyone yearning for adventure. The ice climbing adventure at Ruka is also suitable for beginners: no previous climbing experience is necessary. Trained climbing guides show you the basic ice climbing techniques and teach you good climbing etiquette safely with high-quality climbing gear.

Challenge yourself and climb an ice wall!
Ice climbers are equipped with mountaineering boots, climbing irons, a harness, helmet and other gear required for ice climbing. All you need is clothing suitable for the weather and a can-do attitude!
Ice climbing is usually available from the end of December or early January until April, ice conditions allowing. Prices start from 185 €/person, pre-bookings are required. The minimum age for ice climbing is 12 years (due to the size of the climbing gear - more details from service providers).
