Slope safety

On the slopes, everyone is responsible for slope safety – by following the rules, everyone enjoys and feels safe. Ski Patrol operates on Ruka's ski slopes and their job is to take care of the slope safety.

SKI PATROL MONITORS AND DEVELOPS SLOPE SAFETY

Ski Patrol operates on Ruka's ski slopes. Their task is to monitor and develop safety issues on the slopes. Ski Patrol guides and advises, takes preventive and safety operations on the slopes, and carries out first aid and rescue missions. The Ski Patrol moves with snowmobile and rescue sled or on skis. Ski Patrol is easy to identify with their red-yellow uniform.

Common rules on the slopes ensure that everyone enjoys being on the slopes and feels safe.

If an accident occurs on the slope and first aid is needed, notify the lift staff at the lower station of the lift or call +358404818900. In case of serious accidents, call the emergency number 112. Our first aid will transport the injured to further treatment if necessary. In the case of accidents outside the slopes, report the accident to 112.
