As in Formula 1, karting consists of free practice, a qualifying session and the actual race. The best drivers are awarded medals, of course.

Ice karting cars are similar to indoor and summer karting cars but with a little more boost in the engine and studded tyres. Everyone taller than 150 cm can drive, regardless of age, and the organiser provides all the appropriate gear.

The price of the ice karting race starts from 60 €/person, pre-bookings usually required. Ice karting is usually available from December to March, ice conditions allowing.

The Ruka-Kuusamo region also provides ice driving on tracks and training for driving in slippery conditions all year round.
