Wednesday evening's torchlight ski parade and fireworks
On ski holidays weeks, there will be organized torchlight skiing on Wednesdays, in which all willing skiers and snowboarders can take part. The torchlight skiing will take place from the middle of Kuru slope (no. 5) at 6.45 pm. Immediately after the torchlight ski parade fireworks are fired next to the Kaltiolampi / Aerials jump site.
PLEASE NOTE that the torchlight skiing starts at 7 pm when the lights on the Kuru slope and the front slope are turned off.
The gondola lift will close on Wednesday at 6:50 p.m. and reopen after the fireworks. If you plan to arrive by gondola lift to watch the fireworks, please consider this schedule in your plans! The gondola may be congested on the RukaValley side. Allow enough time to transition.
If the Gondola lift is closed due to strong winds, for example, the Village Express lift can still be reached after the fireworks. The bus service to replace the gondola will also operate at that time.
