Ruka Park's Slopestyle course is being renovated with a 2 million euro investment

For the upcoming winter season, Ruka Park located on the Saarua slopes in Ruka will undergo a complete renovation with an investment of approximately 2 million euros to meet international competition and World Cup standards. Changes will include alterations to the slope's profile, installation of an energy-efficient automatic snowmaking system, and effective LED lighting.

Ruka Park, beloved by snowboarders and freeskiers alike, will undergo a transformation for the coming winter. The slopestyle course will be elevated and extended, reshaped, and equipped with an efficient automatic snowmaking system and powerful LED lighting. The addition of LED lighting will enhance visibility and allow safe skiing even during the dark polar nights. The new automatic snowmaking system will ensure high-quality snow conditions throughout the season.

This project is a joint initiative between the City of Kuusamo and Rukakeskus Ltd., supported by a grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture for sports facility construction.
