RUKA SKI RESORT OPEN DURING STRIKE ON MARCH 3–4 – POSSIBLE CHANGES TO OPENING HOUR

Updated 4.3.2025:

Ski resort's opening hours from March 3rd to 4th:

• Lifts open from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM 
• No snow racing on Monday and Tuesday 
• Valley Rental closed on Monday and Tuesday. Note! You can also buy lift passes at the RukaValley reception.
• Vuosseli Rental closed on Tuesday

Update 3.3.2025:

The gondola is open from 9:30 to 18:00. After this, the ski bus will operate normally between Ruka Village and the Valley. Additional departures between Ruka Village and the Valley until 23:00 as follows:

During the potential strike on March 3–4, both Ruka and Pyhä ski resorts will remain open and welcome guests. However, due to limited staff availability during the strike, the opening hours of slopes, lifts, and rental shops may differ from normal.

At Ruka, lifts will be operated by management staff to ensure service runs as smoothly as possible. Up-to-date information on open lifts, slopes, and rental shops will be available on the morning of March 3 at: ruka.fi/slopes.

The Service Union United (PAM) has announced a strike in the ski resort industry from March 3 to March 4, 2025. The strike will take place if no agreement is reached in the ongoing ski resort industry labor negotiations before then.
